The following terms have specific significance for the integration workflow enabled by the Insurance API:
Client | This code identifies the integration partner that is submitting a request, i.e. a third-party entity that is interacting with Allianz Global Assistance via the Insurance API. This code is issued as part of the initial partner configuration. |
Channel | This code specifies the sales channel from which the request is originating. In many cases there would be only one sales channel configured, but sometimes multiple channels exist. For example, the configuration appropriate for a Mobile insurance integration might differ from that used for a Web integration. These codes are also issued as part of the initial configuration, based on the needs of the integration partner. |
Broker | A client can be set up with one or more broker codes, if the client has need to differentiate sales by individuals or groups within their organization. As with Channel, this code uses a default value if no brokers are configured. |
Offer | An Offer is a set of insurance pricing results, and includes details about premium amounts, taxes, discounts, etc., for each eligible insured individual, as well as listing products that were not valid for the request. |
Policy | The specific instance of a product that a customer has purchased. The policy provides insurance coverage for one or more insured individuals. |
